Trump keeps up war of insults with mayor of London

The giant inflatable blimp depicting Donald Trump as a sneering baby in a diaper still showed up for the demonstration, hanging over the demonstrations, as protesters shouted expletives at the president while he passed by in his motorcade, to meet Prime Minister Theresa May at Downing Street. He was conducting a news conference, alongside Theresa May, when he let rip at Corbyn.

Mrs May said the scope of trade talks had to be agreed by both countries.

Trump, on a three-day state visit to London with his wife Melania, viewed the document with May and her husband Philip ahead of talks at her Downing Street residence. The President also suggested that Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage ought to be involved in the UK's negotiating with the EU. "I believe it would be good for the country".

Campaigners have attempted to embarrass Tory leadership hopeful Boris Johnson by projecting his past comments about the USA president on to Big Ben.

Trump's day will be rounded off with a lavish dinner at the U.S. ambassador's residence attended by the heir to the British throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. "I really like that German Charlie Chaplin who invented the high five".

"I don't know exactly what your timing is but stick around let's do this deal", Trump said to the outgoing prime minister - seemingly in jest - in remarks before cameras at the beginning of a roundtable with US and United Kingdom businesses.

But in a bid to embarrass both Trump and Johnson, campaigners have uncovered a clip of the then mayor of London saying some less than complimentary comments about the USA president - and projected it on to Big Ben in time for his visit to the UK. May said it's clear they want to reach the same goal. "Not on my watch", he tweeted.

Iran was barely mentioned, while Trump said Britain's European Union divorce would happen and pave the way for a large future trade deal. "We have an incredible intelligence relationship and we are going to be able to work out any differences", he said without providing details.

During his visit, the U.S. president is set to hold talks with Mr Gove, according to a source close to the environment secretary.

"Trump was speaking from the heart just as apparently Barack Obama was when he told Britain that it would go to the "back of the queue" if voters made a decision to leave the EU".

The U.S. president and May were meeting British and American business leaders on the second day of Trump's state visit to Britain.

Trump has already weighed in by urging Britain to walk away from the European Union without an agreement -- and suggested that Brexit-backing former foreign minister Boris Johnson would be an "excellent" choice to head the government and get it done.

Mr Hunt is also due to have a meeting with the USA president tomorrow as he seeks the Tory party leadership.

The Mayor of London has been outspoken in his condemnation of Donald Trump's visit.

London's Metropolitan police said 2,591 officers were deployed on Monday for the visit. "The president had little to lose by stoking a long-running feud with London Mayor Sadiq Khan, but his interactions with European leaders during his four-day trip to England, Ireland and France have the potential to further alienate core USA allies".

Still, there are potential clouds on the horizon of US-UK relations, as Attorney General William Barr is digging into the DOJ's and FBI's handling of the so-called "Trump-Russia" case during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The protest's tone was set by a large statue of Trump sitting on a golden lavatory with his pants around his ankles.

Only moment earlier Jeremy Corbyn had spoken at a mass demonstration against the U.S. president.

"I know Jeremy, I think he'd do a very good job", he added.
