'Game of Thrones' Director on Upcoming Battle: 'This Is Survival Horror'

'Game of Thrones' Director on Upcoming Battle: 'This Is Survival Horror'

As the camera pans over the waiting army, Sansa Stark narrates.

While the Packers will be adding new players to the roster during the draft over the next three days, "Game of Thrones" will nearly certainly be losing a host of important characters to end the week. We're busy trying to figure out who dies in the Battle of Winterfell, according to the pictures that just dropped. See, some fans said that the Night King, while not obvious, is there in the final glimpse of the White Walker generals.

More interesting is when Daenerys says, "The dead are already here", which could mean the army of the dead has breached the walls of Winterfell - or it could mean the dead in the crypts were indeed reanimated and are busy killing the women and children who thought it was so safe down there. The new photos show Jon Snow and Daenerys looking on as the Army of the Dead marches closer.

The images also show Ser Brienne of Tarth, the first-ever female knight of Westeros, preparing to fight off the undead alongside her old travel companion, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who asked to serve under her soon after arriving in the North. They could of course, be readying themselves to mount the dragons. There's a good chance that Tyrion, Varys, Gilly and Sam will be attacked while they're tucked away during the battle. Well, a popular theory making the rounds makes Winterfell's crypt problem seem like the least of anyone's worries.

Alongside the wave of reunions in the latest episode (not to mention Jon telling Dany that he is also a Targaryen), viewers also caught the moment Arya loses her virginity to Gendry (Joe Dempsie) before the battle begins.

Jon Snow during the battle. Ultimately, there's not much for us to know until the next episode arrives, but we'll give it to this fan - the theory is solid.

Cersei Lannister: It's unlikely she'll make an appearance until Episode 4.

For Sapochnik though, finding a way to share what each character was going through, on top of showing this massive fight, was challenging.

The Battle of Winterfell promises to be one of the longest battles in the history of TV.

Nearly every character left that anyone loves is about to engage in the fight of their lives as the Army of the Dead marches toward them.

With all the excitement surrounding the final season of Game of Thrones, fans have probably not noticed a key character has been missing.
