Trump Ousts Secret Service Director

"United States Secret Service director Randolph "Tex" Alles has done a great job at the agency over the last two years, and the president is thankful for his over 40 years of service to the country", Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, confirming multiple reports on his ouster. According to The Washington Post, the criminal complaint filed by Secret Service agent Samuel Ivanovich stated, "Zhang was asked if the true member. was her father, but she did not give a definitive answer".

The Secret Service does not determine who is invited or welcome at Mar-a-Lago; this is the responsibility of the host entity.

Alles reportedly was told to pack it in before the March 30 security breach at Mar-a-Lago, in which a Chinese woman with a flash drive containing malware and four cellphones bluffed her way into Trump's posh resort.

Randolph Alles is one of several Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials being ousted on Monday, says the BBC's USA affiliate, CBS News. President Trump announced on Monday that Alles will be replaced.

The first sign of the overhaul came late on Thursday, when Trump abruptly pulled his nomination of Ron Vitiello as director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, part of DHS. "Very happy with them".

CNN also reported that there could be additional high-level removals at DHS in what one unnamed source described as a "purge".

Fox News reported that Alles would step down from his post and was notified about 10 days ago to "prepare an exit plan".

Nielsen, who oversaw Trump's bitterly contested immigration policies during her tumultuous 16-month tenure, resigned on Sunday amid a surge in the number of migrants at the border with Mexico.

Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Francis Cissna and Office of the General Counsel's John Mitnick are two other officials expected soon to leave the department.

Confirmed in 2017, Alles inherited an agency that had been dealing with a series of security and personnel issues.

CNN reported that President Donald Trump instructed acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to fire Alles.
