Forward Bell suspended one game by Warriors

Ahead of tonight's game at the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors announced that forward Jordan Bell has been suspended for a single game.

The organization didn't elaborate on what the 24-year-old did, however it appears that it was an incident at their team hotel on Tuesday night that triggered the suspension. The report stated that the one game suspension stems from "conduct detrimental to the team".

Brown was made aware of the charge. "The staff at The Peabody hotel, where the team stayed, confirmed its purchase", The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Sam Amick reported.

Bell, 24, was supposed to take the court with his reigning National Basketball Association championship Warriors in a Wednesday game against the Grizzlies at the FedExForum arena in Memphis, Tennessee, but the forward was yanked from the lineup before tipoff. Why?

Earlier in the season, Bell was caught in a shouting match with head coach Steve Kerr on January 21, during a timeout in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bell was officially suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team", though the Warriors were fine Wednesday.

"The release was self-explanatory", Kerr said. Unfortunately, the team will be without forward Jordan Bell, who is slated to miss the game.

In his second season in the league, Bell is averaging three points per game with one assist and 2.7 rebounds in 12.8 minutes.
