Judy Darcy, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions said, the key to children getting the help they need is removing the stigma attached to mental health issues.

The trial will involve mindfulness exercises, muscle relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to help young students regulate their emotions, alongside pupil sessions with mental health experts.

The move comes as part of the Government's efforts to improve the mental welbeing among pupils, following its pledge to introduce mental health first aid into every school in England.

The study, which will run until 2021, aims to give schools new, robust evidence about what works best for the mental health and well-being of students. Mental health is a topic that is close to the royals' hearts.

She met with teachers and students and it was all very pleasant, but while visiting Lavender Primary school, the Duchess of Cambridge brought out a special item that honestly melted everyone's hearts-a portrait of her family.

After discussion at the cabinet meeting, the Labour Cabinet agreed to propose that part of the budget surplus should be used to increase access for children to mental health services.

"Place2Be is supporting teachers and parents with advice on how sensible sleep habits, eating well and exercise help children cope with daily worries". We know from our own school programmes how vital it is to step in early with support to stop problems in their tracks.
