Bayern Munich to sign Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart at end of season

German professional League club Bayern Munich have confirmed that France global Benjamin Pavard will be joining them from July 1, 2019.

Salihamidzic announced the deal at Bayern's training camp in Doha, with Pavard's contract to start in the summer.

The 22-year-old now plays for Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart and was involved in France's 2018 World Cup final victory over Croatia in Russian Federation, a tournament where he also scored a stunning goal in the Round of 16 win over Argentina.

But with Stuttgart still in the relegation zone at the halfway point of the season, Pavard has now agreed to move to Munich on a five-year deal at the end of the season.

Pavard has been linked with numerous clubs since his eye-catching performances in Russian Federation, with Bayern rumoured to be interested in signing him immediately after the tournament. "He can adapt to our style of play and we are following him", he said.

Bayern are now on their annual winter training camp in Doha as they prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga campaign.

"He has signed a five-year deal".

It's also reported that the German giants have tabled a fourth bid for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, worth somewhere in the region of £35-40million, which is "still under consideration" as things stand.

However, they have struggled this season and sit in 16th place in the Bundesliga.
