First two Muslim women sworn into US Congress

First two Muslim women sworn into US Congress

Tlaib vowed on Thursday evening to "impeach that motherfucker", referring to Trump at a MoveOn.org event in Washington, DC, after Democrats took power in the house.

"'Momma look you won".

Newly elected Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of MI is getting some pushback from fellow lawmakers on Capitol Hill after using a profanity Thursday evening when she said President Donald Trump should be impeached.

Trump was asked if he would comment on the threat of impeachment and the profanity. "In the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise", she wrote.

The newly elected Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared loath to reign in the congresswoman's language.

While Tlaib and Ihan are the first female Muslims elected to Congress, in 2007, Keith Ellison became the first Muslim member of the body. It is too early to talk about [impeachment] intelligently... "Are you ready for what they will try to do to our President, @realDonaldTrump?"

On the morning before Tlaib's expletive-laden speech, The Detroit Free Press published her op-ed calling for Trump's impeachment.

The call for impeachment earned raucous applause, according to the video....

"I don't really like that kind of language, but more to the point, I disagree with what she said", Nadler said on CNN.

Another pro-Republican account claimed Tlaib's comments actually help Republicans, not Democrats.

"We build a school, we build a road, they blow up the school, we build another school, we build another road, they blow them up, we build again, in the meantime we can't get a fucking school in Brooklyn", he said.

Reminiscing further, Tlaib said she told her son: "You're right, they don't". And she did so in the most profane way possible.

"How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong" and has had the "most successful two years of any president", Trump tweeted. "I'm proud of you", he said. They also ignore the fact that numerous impeachable offenses committed by this president are beyond the scope of the special counsel's investigation.

But as the new Congress convened on Thursday, several rank-and-file members tried to jump-start the prospect of removing Trump from office.
