Green Bay Packers: Why not trade for Antonio Brown?

Green Bay Packers: Why not trade for Antonio Brown?

But things apparently look more serious, as CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora tweeted out Tuesday morning that Brown requested a trade, citing "Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger".

After walking out of Wednesday's practice ahead of the 2018 regular-season finale, Brown was inactive against the Bengals on Sunday.

The Steelers' decision to sit Brown in Week 17 was ultimately the right choice, but Pittsburgh's offense was clearly off-base without his presence. Tomlin added that Brown did not show up and the team couldn't reach him after that. "The guy not communicating is a very real element of discussion". I'm sure Kevin, Coach Tomlin will be talking to him but going forward that's unacceptable.

"He is such an incredible talent, and I've been blessed to have him as my teammate and truly a good friend, one of my better friends on the team ..."

Tomlin confirmed Brown was "unavailable" leading up to the game, according to WPXI's Alby Oxenreiter, and was benched because he did not attend Saturday's walk-through in addition to experiencing lower-body soreness.

A source told ESPN that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was involved in the incident with Brown, but this wasn't a head-to-head clash, and more of Brown flaming up like he has in the past.

Tomlin said he "starts with the thumb" when he takes a step back to review the results of the season and any player concerns. "In fact, I embrace it", Tomlin said. Not that I like it, not that it's enjoyable. So, I've been real clear at outlining what transpired, the level of communication, things of that nature.

Tomlin said Brown arrived at practice last Wednesday reporting discomfort in his lower body.

For the past several years, this portion of the calendar has seen Cincinnati Bengals fans have little to watch except other AFC North teams.

Is a bombshell Antonio Brown interview on the way???
