Huawei Nova 4 price, specifications, features, comparison

Specs-wise, it's the same screen as the one in the Galaxy A8s - a 6.4-inch, 2,310x1,080 LCD screen with a modest chin and a "hole punch" cutout in its upper left corner to accommodate the selfie camera. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The front camera peeking through that little hole is 25MP. The key highlights of the Huawei Nova 4 are the in-display selfie camera and the 48 MP rear camera. The lower variant gets a 20MP primary sensor in collaboration with a 16MP and a 2MP sensors.

Based on the leaks, the Nova 4 is expected to be available in a bunch of color options. It will be powered by the 12-month old 10nm Kirin 970 along with a decent 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Currently, there are no official plans to bring the Nova 4 to the UK.

From the back, the Nova 4 looks rather like a P20 Pro, with a gradient finish that has become so popular in recent years and a triple-camera setup. The Nova 4 comes with Android 9 out of the box under EMUI 9.0.1. Huawei was able to achieve the small hole thanks to a smaller camera aperture - also the smallest in the industry - measuring just 3.05mm in diameter.

The rear snapper of the Nova 4 utilizes a triple-camera setup.

With the smartphone officially launched in China for 3,099 Yuan (approximately $449.2), Huawei could most likely release it in Europe and India.

The battery is a 3,750mAh capacity battery with support for Huawei's 18W fast charging, so it is fair to say that Huawei have made a premium mid-range device. It now sets you back 3,399 yuan (about $490) in China, but there's also a cheaper version that goes for $3,099-yuan ($450), which replaces the 48MP shooter on the back with a 20MP sensor.
