‘Game of Thrones’ drops new trailer and it’s icy

The latest teaser for Game of Thrones has been released - and it has us so excited for the new season! The season 8 will premiere on April 2019. Winter is officially here.

Although the flagship series is ending, HBO has multiple projects set in the Game of Thrones universe now in development.

We see the Stone Table, that great map of Westeros located in the castle at Dragonstone, begin to freeze from the north. When the animal sigils, or symbols, collide in the teaser, the stage is set for the impending final battle between the Starks, Targaryens and the Lannisters houses for control over Westeros in season 8. There are still two fire dragons to one ice dragon at this point though, so that inevitable clash is sure to happen, possibly in favor of the fire.

The battle would be intense as the teaser shows a dragon and a direwolf being overtaken by ice and a lion getting consumed by fire. Every time a Game of Thrones season comes, the trailer comes before 3 months. HBO said in June that it had given a pilot order to a prequel that will take place thousands of years before the events of the current series. The last season ended with a bang when the Night King got control over one of the dragons of Daenerys and destroying The Wall and its protective magic.

In the previous season of "Game of Thrones", Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) chose to join forces (and their loins) to defeat the White Walkers.
