FC Barcelona Respond To Links With Neymar

FC Barcelona Respond To Links With Neymar

Real Madrid are the other main contender to sign Neymar, with the European champions looking to fill the gap in the squad left by Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for Juventus in the summer.

The Paris-Saint Germain star cost £198m when he moved to Paris from Barca in 2017, a world-record fee.

Real Madrid have regularly been linked with a move for Neymar, although statements from the club have denied that a few times, while talk of Barca's interest in re-signing the 26-year-old has gained traction this week.

His decision to leave Barcelona for PSG would suggest the latter, but the Brazilian is now regretting his decision, according to reports.

"No one on the current Barca board has talked about a return for Neymar, so it's really a hypothetical question as it's not being looked at". And some of the press sources have claimed that Neymar Jr. feels overshadowed by the young Mbappe and as a result Neymar wants to return to Barcelona Fc.

"We're not even in the transfer market". It is a question that can not be answered because no one has even mentioned it. "Anything can happen, but it's hard, we will see".

The PSG forward's exit sparked a war of words between the player and Barcelona, with Jordi Mestre, the La Liga champions' other vice president, criticising the way the deal was done. I don't think he will spend many years in Paris, but I don't think he will go to Madrid. "We were all on tour talking with him and his father, and they were not transparent". He told us nothing. Ever since moving to the French capital Neymar has won all the domestic trophies so far and also helped his team eight points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 this season at the moment.

If a club can stump up €215m then they can sign Neymar - but only in the summer of 2020 and not before.
