David Haye sends Tyson Fury warning over 'dynamite' Deontay Wilder

David Haye sends Tyson Fury warning over 'dynamite' Deontay Wilder

The WBC heavyweight champion will next defend his title against Fury in Las Vegas in November.

Ahead of a potential mega-bout, Tony Bellew has offered his thoughts on the fight and he's not liking Fury's chances at all, predicting a Wilder stoppage inside three rounds.

The 30 year-old had announced his arrival at Windsor Park with an epic ring walk to the sound of Sweet Home Alabama - perhaps a reference to Wilder's hometown - and later described it as his best ever entrance.

It also won't take much to market the fight as Fury and Wilder are excellent self-promoters who cannot only talk a good game but have proven to be more than capable of backing it up.

The lineal heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury, set up a November date with undefeated WBC champion Deontay Wilder after Fury turned in a measured performance to outpoint Francesco Pianeta in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Interestingly, bookmakers have already marked up prices for Fury-Wilder and they believe that Fury is odds on.

"I need the rounds, I need to box and move and prove I can go the 10 rounds". "It's on, baby. This is what we've been waiting for here - the best fighting the best". I said send me the contract, they sent the contract. "I promise you. You've never been knocked out but you're going to feel the experience, what it feels to get hit by the Bronze Bomber".

"When I said I wanted four warm-up fights back I was a sloth of 27 stones, fat as a pig, drinking every day", Fury said at an entertaining press conference, which included singing. "I think we all know who we're talking about - the biggest sh*those inside boxing".

"He better take this guy very seriously, you know". I've got enough time to prepare for anybody'.

Overall, there only came moderately harsh words exchanged before a genuine embrace between the two - but not before Fury offered a prediction of their likely collision.

He will have to lose further weight and continue to rediscover his sharpness following an unremarkable performance in which he rarely hurt his opponent, but standing opposite Wilder, he vowed: "I'm going to win this man's belt and bring it back to defend right here in Belfast. I can't wait to meet the man that beat the man so when I beat the man I become the man, you understand?"
