Trump Fires Back at Former Staffer Omarosa Manigault

Trump Fires Back at Former Staffer Omarosa Manigault

And Trump's campaign said that in the 2016 race she "signed the exact same NDA that everyone else on the campaign signed, which is still enforceable". Omarosa had Zero credibility with the Media (they didn't want interviews) when she worked in the White House. In his opinion, the most obvious reason would be that the White House "had its own suspicions that she was the type of person who might try to secretly record [the meeting], and put it in the Situation Room".

In interviews Monday, Manigault claimed she had other recordings from her time at the White House and that she was willing to share them with special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian election interference and alleged collusion with the Trump campaign.

She responded to Trump's insults, saying: "It's sad that with all the things that is going on in the country that he would take time out to insult me and to insult my intelligence. This is somebody I've known since 2003", Manigault Newman said. "Not only is this flat-out false (I've never heard such a thing), but Omarosa didn't even make an effort to call or email me to verify".

In her new book, Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House, Manigault Newman claimed that she had heard about the recordings' existence.

Omarosa Manigault Newman likes to be noticed and that she did during an August 13 appearance on The Today Show, albeit for all the wrong reasons.

Manigault Newman says she considered the statement a "threat". [MUSIC] [MUSIC] Quite a story to tell as the only African American woman in this White House.

Omarosa! I hear you mentioned me on Meet The Press. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems.

As many observers noted, it's freaky for Trump to claim that Burnett had to call to confirm to him that there are no tapes of him saying something - if he never really said it.

"They took it upon themselves to actually document this so that they could actually expose him for the racist that he is", she said. She never made it, never will. But the tapes' mere existence confirmed a longstanding reality: in Trump's White House, there are few norms or expectations of decorum that can not be shattered.

She refused, and Kelly was forced to fire her, unnamed White House aides told Politico.

"The very idea a staff member would sneak a recording device into the White House Situation Room shows a blatant disregard for our national security", said White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

Months after the wedding, Politico reported that Omarosa brought her bridal party of 39 to the White House following her ceremony for a photo shoot in the Rose Garden and West Wing.

The source said that at the time 'it was very hush-hush why she was sacked in Washington.

Publicly, White House officials have looked to attack Manigault Newman's character as they seek to knock down her most salacious accusations.

He hurled angry tweets at his former friend, as he prepared to return to the White House following an 11-day vacation in New Jersey.
