Demi Lovato's frankness about her struggles rare in pop music circles

Demi Lovato's frankness about her struggles rare in pop music circles

Lovato celebrated six years of sobriety in March, but relapsed shortly after, seemingly addressing it in her latest song, "Sober", which she released in June. In the case of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1.

Emergency officials in NY confirmed they transported a 25-year-old woman who lives on Demi Lovato's block to the hospital after receiving a call at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday.

"I'm not sober anymore", she sings.

Selena's heartbreak comes after she was seen looking somber on her way to breakfast with friends in Studio City on Wednesday.

Lovato said, "Being able to help people in recovery is something I'm passionate about". It was like a form for us to escape through your music, and you were there on the stage living your best life, and we all wanted to be you.

While other pop stars have covered up struggles with addiction and mental illness by talking about exhaustion or stress, Lovato has constantly been open about her personal experiences struggling with sobriety for six years.

Before the bash, Demi was spotted at the Saddle Ranch on the Sunset Strip, where she was celebrating a backup dancer's birthday.

"She needs our prayers and support". But also, for her fans to sort of accept that because that's what they're used to from her. "She's gotta talk amongst her close friends, other recovering people, and because she's such a public figure, it'd probably be healthy for her to talk about it publicly, because that's the thing I really respect about Demi".

While most celebrities tend to hide their struggles with drugs and battles with depression, Demi Lovato not only acknowledged her issues, she's shared them with the world.

"(She) has found enormous success by addressing those issues, and not only addressing them when they were still fresh, but also continuing to speak about them as she had been sober for years.

"I hope she is given the privacy, respect, support and compassion she deserves right now".

The 25-year-old star said: "We connected because I heard her story - and when I heard [it] I was just completely inspired by it". "I do believe that because Demi has gone through such an emotional relapse and a destructive relapse, I do believe her going into a treatment center would probably actually be very positive, so she can deal with all the emotions and feelings this relapse has created, for her to become more emotionally stable". Check out what they had to say.

Yes, exactly. And I think this song is an open letter in song form.
