No changes in Syria after Putin-Trump summit: U.S

Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters on Wednesday that Trump was just saying "no" to taking more questions from journalists.

"They were in charge of national security, they failed and they're now hysterical trying to get us to look at Trump", he said on "America's Newsroom".

The July cover is a highlight of the controversial summit that took place between the two world leaders in Helsinki, Finland, earlier this week.

"We will see how things develop further", Putin said, citing unnamed "forces" in the USA trying to prevent any improvement in relations and "putting narrow party interests above the national interest".

It also showed that while 70 percent of Americans overall believe U.S. intelligence assessments that Moscow interfered in the 2016 elections, Republicans are more skeptical, with 51 percent believing that Russian Federation meddled.

"A year and a half into his presidency, Trump's puzzling affinity for Putin has yet to be explained", Bennett wrote. "He got way more than he bargained for", in which Brian Bennett examine's Trump's loyalty to both Russian Federation and the United States.

Trump's comments in support of arch-rival Russian Federation were condemned by both Democrats and Republicans. "We talked about this of course while meeting President Trump".

Coats" statement Monday reaffirming the Intelligence Community's analysis provided a stark rebuke to Trump, just hours after the president said he found Putin's denial "powerful'.

Trump called the remark a mistake on Tuesday, telling reporters that he meant to side with USA intelligence agencies, but the administration still faced questions over whether the president was sufficiently confronting Putin on issues of election interference and foreign policy.

The Defense Ministry made a string of announcements about progress on the weapons, unveiled in a speech by President Vladimir Putin in March. At the time, White House officials worked to convince a skeptical president that the Nordic capital would serve as a more effective backdrop - and warned of a firestorm should a West Wing meeting go through.

Putin and Trump sat down for their first summit in Helsinki on Monday, an event that sparked a storm of criticism in the United States after Trump refused to blame the Russian leader for meddling in the 2016 US election, something Putin denies.

'I think we will learn more. -Russian relations are "in some ways worse than during the Cold War", but that the meeting with Trump allowed them to start on "the path to positive change".

Trump later clarified the remark and told CBS News on Wednesday that he holds Vladimir Putin personally responsible for the meddling.

But Trump has largely shrugged off the criticism and took aim at the "fake news media" Thursday for failing to recognize his achievements. "He views this problem entirely through a political lens, these people say, unable or unwilling to differentiate between the question of whether his campaign colluded with Russia-which he denies-and the question of whether Russian Federation attempted to influence the election'".
