Prince William says he is dedicated to bring about Mideast peace

Prince William was welcomed in Jordan by Crown Prince Hussein, 23, who will be his host throughout the two-day stay in the country, last Sunday.

Imad Abu Shamsieh, Coordinator of the Human Rights Defenders, also told Ma'an that the group of Israeli settlers stormed the home of resident, Bassam Abu Aisha, and the home of an elderly man from the Abu Aisha family, as well as assaulted other residents of the two houses. But now that the visit is finally happening, Israeli officials are concerned about the palace's language, especially after US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Abbas appealed to the Prince and the British people to support the Palestinian campaign for independence. Abdullah reportedly said that unveiling the plan without coordinating with the Palestinians would be a "catastrophe".

Israel Hayom also quoted a senior Jordanian official, who warned of the Palestinian leadership being rendered "irrelevant with respect to the peace process". "This American administration is dealing with the Palestinian issue through partial solutions, because everything it suggests comes from an Israeli perspective".

"Any Palestinian leader who agrees to engage with the US administration by conceding more on the Palestinian demands will end up facing a crisis with the Palestinian reality on the ground", he said.

His statements were made a day after demonstrations swept the Palestinian territories in rejection of the United States peace plan, also known as the "Deal of the Century".

Prince William, the duke of Cambridge and second in line to the British throne, wrapped up a visit to the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Thursday with a tour of religious sites in occupied East Jerusalem. It also called on Palestinians to participate in the planned protests against the "big U.S. conspiracy".

William, who is the first British Royal to make an official visit to Israel, later headed out into the city of Ramallah, where he caught a cultural display, toured a street food festival and chatting to girls at a school in the Jalazone refugee camp.

Prince William's Middle East tour was eventful, including a meet-up with one of Leonardo DiCaprio's many model ex-girlfriends and a sports session with his new bro, Jordan's Crown Prince, Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. "My sentiments are the same as yours in hoping that there is a lasting peace in the region".

From the beginning of the protests on March 30, the Israeli army killed 135 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and injured another 15,000, the Ministry of Health of that territory reported today.
