Heather Locklear Released From Jail, But 'Refuses' Treatment

Heather Locklear Released From Jail, But 'Refuses' Treatment

Locklear, 56, was arrested and charged with battery of a police officer and emergency personnel, and remains in police custody.

For the second time this year, actress Heather Locklear has been arrested for battery on a police officer and emergency personnel. Locklear was arrested in February 2018 for felony domestic violence against her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. She then punched the officer who was trying to separate her from members of her family.

Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Garo Kuredjian says Locklear was released from jail Monday after posting $20,000 bail.

In 911 dispatch audio obtained by the site, the family member described Locklear as erratic and said she was looking for a gun to shoot herself.

Still, the source says Locklear's friends and family are hopeful that she will take her latest expected stint in rehab seriously. She was also hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation after allegedly threatening to kill herself when police responded to her home for another domestic dispute last week.

Over the years, Locklear has sought treatment for depression and anxiety and reportedly went through drug rehabilitation after being hospitalised for mixing prescription drugs and alcohol. She later plead not guilty to these four misdemeanor counts of battery in April, according to the Associated Press. After calls, police arrived and recognized her white Porsche. "Right now, Heather is sober and she is in therapy".

Her family has struggled to "control" Locklear, the source adds.

She still works frequently, with recurring roles on cable shows like "Franklin & Bash" and the Tyler Perry series "Too Close to Home".
