Brazil suffer Neymar blow, may miss clash against Costa Rica

Brazilian star striker Neymar had a bit of a rough outing as he struggled to keep his feet on the ground for long due to Switzerland sides defending tackles.

The Brazilian soccer confederation said it wasn't a serious injury and Neymar would be back in practice on Wednesday, but doubts about his fitness only increased.

A man lost his cow in betting on Sunday following a 1-1 draw between the two.

Nobody panic (yet), but Neymar limped out of Brazil's training session on Tuesday. He was visibly in pain as he walked from the field accompanied by the team's doctor. I have goals and I focus on them, I have new challenges all the time, and this year's World Cup is one of them, like also not getting hurt or making the transition from club football to global football.

The forward trained with his team-mates in Sochi on Tuesday but hobbled away from the session after only 15 minutes.

Neymar left the Rostov Arena limping but told media that there was nothing to worry about, and his appearance in training appeared to allay any fears that he had suffered yet another heartbreaking injury at a World Cup following his 2014 anguish.

'Neymar trained a little, felt the pain, returned to physical therapy and tomorrow trains normally'.

Given the success of Switzerland's rugged approach, Neymar can expect more of the same against Costa Rica and Serbia with the pressure upped on Brazil to rediscover the form they showed in qualifying.

It's never easy to replace a player as talented as Neymar, who scored 19 Ligue 1 goals in just 20 matches in his debut campaign with PSG.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Tite said: "It's the same team that's going to start that started the game against Switzerland".

It's believed the issue is related to his ankle, the same ankle he was favouring after taking more than one whack in that area during the course of the game against Switzerland.

Senegal's 2-1 victory against Poland saw the end of the first round of the group stages and we have seen a lot already.
