Everton should move for reported Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri

Manchester City trying to sign Jorginho from Napoli and Liverpool trailing Xherdan Shaqiri who just went down with Stoke.

A move is all but certain as Shaqiri has made it clear he does not want to play in the Championship but is keen to stay in England.

Liverpool are leading the chase for Stoke winger Xherdan Shaqiri, who is expected to leave the relegated Premier League club.

And The Guardian claims that manager Jurgen Klopp is open to the idea of bringing Shaqiri to Anfield.

The Switzerland global reportedly has a £12m relegation release clause in his contract, but Rowett insists that the Potters will not sell the 26-year-old on the cheap.

Shaqiri is also attracting interesting from Tottenham and Leicester City and may be tempted to join a team where he feels he will be guaranteed first-team football.

However, he could not help them remain at the Premier league the last term, despite scoring eight goals and assisting seven. I want to put players on the pitch next season that want to be in a different league and understand the challenges of that league. However, Bayern Munich blocked the potential transfer of the player then and later, the player joined Inter Milan only to come to Stoke.

Liverpool are extensively linked to a move for French sensation Nabil Fekir, however, a deal is yet to be agreed with OL Lyon, his current club, who are holding out until the World Cup in order to demand a higher fee.

Shaqiri's future, though, may not be sorted out imminently as he is heading to the World Cup in Russian Federation next week.
