Man United No 2 Faria leaving after 17 years with Mourinho

Man United No 2 Faria leaving after 17 years with Mourinho

Mourinho has already revealed that he will again make a number of changes after bringing in eight fresh faces for the 0-0 draw with West Ham on Thursday.

Manchester United will be looking to finish a solid Premier League campaign off with a win as they host Watford at Old Trafford on the final day of the season this Sunday.

Faria has been No. 2 to Mourinho at Leiria, Porto, Chelsea (twice), Inter Milan, Real Madrid and United.

His intelligence and the natural ability to read the game and anticipate opposition patterns of play is an asset to any successful team but on Sunday - will serve as a reminder as to what United are going to have to replace if they are to get back to the very top of the table.

Metro.co.uk revealed last month that the Premier League champions were already leading the race to sign the elegant Italy global with Napoli eyeing the likes of Claudio Bravo and Aleks Zinchenko in return. Javi Garcia has led them to safety, but his spell at the club has been underwhelming, to say the least.

United have won ten of their last eleven meetings with Watford in all competitions.

Romelu Lukaku's ankle/foot problem remains United's major worry and Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he and countryman Marouane Fellaini are both unavailable for the clash with Watford. They are expected to be without the likes of Tommie Hoban, Tom Cleverley, Stefano Okaka, Andre Carrillo, Sebastian Prodl, Nathaniel Chalobah and Younes Kaboul for this fixture. Matches involving Jose Mourinho's United have been shown live 28 times by BT Sport and Sky Sports as many as Arsenal compared to 25 games involving Pep Guardiola's City.

A draw is available at 9/2 odds at William Hill, and an away win at 8/1 odds.

Marcus Rashford is the favourite to find the net at his best odds of 8/7 at Unibet.

'We made a good, high investment last season, because it was an old team - 10 or 11 players more than 30-years-old. Anthony Martial is an alternative option at 10/7 odds.

Troy Deeney has scored three PL goals against Man Utd, all from the penalty spot.
