Rudy Giuliani grating on Trump: Darcy cartoon

Rudy Giuliani grating on Trump: Darcy cartoon

MORE has reportedly considered blocking his new attorney, Rudy Giuliani, from making more television appearances following a series of controversial interviews.

Giuliani told Reid that he and the president's legal team continue to be in communication with the special counsel, but that he wants to have a better sense of the facts before engaging in formal negotiations about a possible interview.

President Donald Trump is growing increasingly irritated with lawyer Rudy Giuliani's frequently off-message media blitz, which has included muddying the waters on hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels and making claims that could complicate the president's standing in the special counsel's Russian Federation probe.

Giuliani said there was no truth to the idea that unless he is more careful on TV, the president will oust him. "Everybody's reacting to us now, and I feel good about that because that's what I came in to do".

After bringing up Stormy Daniels in the Sean Hannity interview, and telling Hannity Trump paid back Cohen the $130,000.

"They've backed off that because they realize that could really, really backfire on them", Giuliani said. He did not rule out the possibility that Cohen had paid off other women.

His comments appeared to catch the White House off guard.

In terms of his legal skills, I think it's clear that Giuliani has lost a step.

Giuliani suggested during an interview on "Fox & Friends" on Thursday morning that such an allegation being made public would have been politically damaging to Trump.

Trump also expressed annoyance that Giuliani's theatrics have breathed new life into the Daniels story.

When pressed, Giuliani said he would prefer the Hillary Clinton model, referring to the former secretary of state's interview in connection to her use of a personal email server, in which she was not under oath when questioned and was responding to queries provided to her in advance.

"Either he'll change his behavior, or he's not going to do it very long", the senior White House official said. By Friday afternoon, Giuliani released a statement to clarify his remarks.
