British brewery creates special beer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding

British brewery creates special beer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding

Counter-terror measures will be enforced including barriers to stop vehicle attacks will be erected and a network of automatic number plate recognition that can check for vehicles registered on criminal databases.

If too many people descend on Windsor, the town will be put on virtual lock-down, with trains no longer stopping to drop passengers off at its stations and people turned away from crowded processional routes.

"The wedding is expected to attract thousands of people from around the world to Windsor and planning is well under way".

Prince Harry and Markle's nuptials will be held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Thames Valley Police, responsible for policing the event, said the security operation was likely to be the largest in its history.

Local businesses and visitors "can expect to see an increased police presence" ahead of the wedding including armed police, search dogs and helicopters, the police said.

Thames Valley Police says visitors and residents should remain vigilant at all times as they "are our extra eyes and ears".

More than 250 members of the Armed Forces are expected to perform ceremonial duties at the couple's wedding on May 19.

The title has never been used before in an invitation to a royal wedding and is in stark contrast to, for instance, the 2011 wedding invitations for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding, when she was referred to as "Miss Catherine Middleton".

Prince Harry will salute his former comrades in the Armed Forces by having them play a "special role" in his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle.

Assistant Chief Constable David Hardcastle, leading the security operation, said: "We are working with our partners, local businesses and the community to deliver a safe, secure and happy event for everyone".

Some estimates suggest security for the wedding will cost £30 million and police forces are talking to the Home Office over who foots the final bill.
