The Cast Of 'Stranger Things' Get Big Pay Rise For Season 3

The Stranger Things kids are heading into season three with a major pay raise.

Stranger Things will have a much bigger payroll for season 3. Collecting roughly $150,000, actors who play teenage character such as Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and Joe Keery (Steve) are in "C tier". The stars of the hit Netflix sci-fi drama, majority young teens, have scored major pay raises for the upcoming third season of the show.

When a TV show with an ensemble cast becomes an unexpected hit, things can get rather ugly behind the scenes.

Filming for the eagerly anticipated third season begins on 23 April, however, actor Harbour said that it's unlikely to hit our screens this year.




Millie Bobby Brown, considered the breakout from the first two seasons, is reportedly earning more than three boys. David Harbour and Winona Ryder, meanwhile, started the show with higher quotes than the kids, and will now be making somewhere around $200,000 per episode. The increase in their salary will now fetch them up to $250,000 per episode.

In addition to the established cast, there will also be some new faces on Stranger Things 3.

The global success of Stranger Things has led to the cast renegotiating their contracts with a massive pay increase. Following this pattern, we can expect more of the unexpected brilliance that puts the excellent young cast front and centre. A renegotiation last season gave her $250,000 per episode, and some sources are telling Hollywood Reporter that she may be making A tier money this season. While Netflix, like its streaming competitors, doesn't report viewership numbers, most outlets that track the streamer's ratings report Stranger Things as one of the most watched on the service.

Season 2 will hopefully resolve the questions left unanswered in the finale of the first season - particularly whether Ruby and Olivia are going to survive.
