Celebrate Pi Day -- 3.14 -- with these deals on pies in New Orleans

The special day is meant to celebrate mathematics and Pi (3.14159), the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. And if you don't feel like going out, try cooking up one of our favorite pie recipes.

Pizza Hut (Multiple locations): Get a large two-topping pizza for $7.99, or two medium two-topping pizzas for $5.99 each.

Offers can vary by location so call ahead to be on the safe side.

At Whole Foods, you can get $3.14 off any large bakery pie.

Need a slice? These Orlando restaurants and bakeries will help you get your pie fix.

BLAZE PIZZA: The fast-casual pizza chain will also have personal create-your-own pizzas for $3.14 on "Pi" Day.

Pi Day started 30 years ago at San Francisco's Exploratorium.




And in honor of the big day t here are some great deals on pies.

But Pi Day isn't limited to dessert. One per customer and in-restaurant only.

Cici's: Buy an adult buffet at regular price and get a second buffet for $3.14.

At Boston Market, customers can receive one free Rotisserie Chicken Pot Pie when he purchases another Pot Pie and drink.

Blaze Pizza: All pizzas will only be $3.14.

Villa Italian Kitchen: Pizza at participating Villa Italian Kitchens will also only cost $3.14 on Wednesday.

Pizzeria Caldera is getting in on the act as well, offering all slices for $3.14 until 4pm today.
