All 11 dead on board Turkish plane crash in Iran

A British Foreign Office spokesman said: 'We are now investigating the reported sentencing of a British-Iranian dual national with the Iranian authorities'.

Turkey's Hurriyet newspaper said the plane's three crew members - two pilots and one flight attendant - were all women as well.

Basaran was set to marry Murat Gezer at a five-star hotel in Istanbul in April.

The last videos posted to her account showed her and friends enjoying a concert by the British pop star Rita Ora at a popular Dubai nightclub.

Ms Urfali also worked in fashion, having studied in Istanbul and NY, and launched her own brand, Bug Uniform, in 2015 to create bespoke corporate outfits.

A graduate of Istanbul's Koc University, she had since 2013 been on the board of her father's company, Basaran Holding, and was reportedly being groomed as his successor.

Shahr-e Kord is almost 370 km (230 miles) south of the capital, Tehran.

Another of the group, Liana Hananel, the founder of luxury swimwear brand Lily and Rose, had given birth just four months earlier.

Finding the aircraft's "black box" will help investigators trying to piece together what happened. Three crew, all women, were also on board.

One formerly flew Turkish army fighter jets as one of Turkey's first female pilots, it said.

Architect Zeynep Coskun, 28, who recently got engaged and would have married in the summer, was also said to be among those on board, Turkey's private Dogan news agency said.

The jet suddenly gained altitude roughly 80 minutes into the flight, and then plunged 3,050 metres, before disappearing from the radar, according to data from FlightRadar24. It also cited a local Red Crescent official, Reza Zaheri, as saying that all 11 bodies had been recovered from the scene after a 15-hour operation that involved 80 people.

The heiress to a business empire whose glamorous life was often splashed across the pages of Turkey's tabloids was killed, along with the rest of her hen party, when the private jet flying them home crashed into remote mountains in western Iran yesterday.

Meanwhile, two planes from Turkey, carrying families of the young victims and Turkish investigation teams, arrived in Iran on Monday. They will be carried down from the mountain when sun comes up.

After the funerals, 11 families will begin the hard process of grieving and trying to address the loss of precious daughters, sisters, wives and fiances.
