Houthis killed in Red Sea coastal area of Yemen in 2 days

Houthis killed in Red Sea coastal area of Yemen in 2 days

"In spite of a mountain of credible, independent evidence showing Iran violated the Yemen arms embargo, resulting in a series of attacks on civilian targets, Russian Federation prevented accountability and endangered the entire region", U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said, vowing to take action outside the UN against Iran.

26 slammed Russia's veto of a United Nations draft resolution that would have condemned Iran for violating an embargo on arms shipments to Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The report in January by experts monitoring sanctions against Iran concluded that Iran was in "non-compliance" with the arms embargo because it failed "to take the necessary measures" to prevent the direct or indirect supply of missiles and drones to Houthi Shiite rebels fighting the Saudi-backed government.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said yesterday that his country is ready to discuss regional security issues with its Arab Gulf neighbours without the presence of "foreigners".

Haley thanked the 11 of 15 members of the Security Council that voted to hold Iran accountable for its negligence and illegal behaviors.

"If Russia is going to continue to cover for Iran then the USA and our partners need to take action on our own".

Russian Federation has questioned the findings of the United Nations experts report, which was submitted to the council in January.

He said the Britain-drafted resolution "turned into another setback, particularly for the United States".

Iran lashed out at the United States and the United Kingdom for covering war crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

The UN panel that examined rocket fragments that had been recovered from Saudi Arabia found that they had markings showing that they had been manufactured in Iran.

Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, said the wording in the British draft would have had "destabilising ramifications" if adopted, and warned about the effect it would have on Yemen and the region as a whole.

The UAE Armed Forces continue to provide military and logistical support for land, air and sea operations in support of brotherly Yemen to rid them of the terrorist Iranian plan being implemented through the Houthi militias.
