Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's wedding: what we know so far

The Prince and Meghan Markle stepped out in Edinburgh for their first Royal visit to the country north of England at lunchtime.

The 36-year-old travelled to Edinburgh for her first ever visit to Scotland.

Fans were out in force to see the royal couple as they visited Edinburgh.

Look. She wore the same coat as the horse, OK?

Since her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has developed her own royal style and so far, it's nothing like Kate Middleton's. The source said, "Prince Harry has personally requested Ed to perform at his wedding".

A cheeky Shetland tried to nip Prince Harry's hand as the royal visited Edinburgh today (Tuesday, 13 February).

Their trip to Edinburgh ended with a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the Scottish Government's Year of Young People.

The fashionable Markle wore a tartan coat by Burberry to honor the plaid for which Scotland is known. The little black pony - who received a loving pat from the royal couple - also got to meet the Queen last summer - and things didn't quite go to plan.

This was Meghan's first trip to Scotland.

As social media users quickly pointed out, Cruachan perhaps thought the prince was holding out a treat for him. "She's already working behind the scenes as she's doing secret visits".

Accessorizing, Markle added a hunter green crossbody bag courtesy of Scottish label Strathbury, which highlighted the similar shade of green in her jacket.

They will then move on to the New Town to visit Social Bite which is a social enterprise café which distributes 100,000 items of food and hot drinks to homeless people all over Scotland annually.

The former United States actress is due to marry Prince Harry on May 19 in St George's Chapel, in Windsor Castle, and the Los Angeles native has admitted she has already picked up a British conversation topic during her visit to Edinburgh yesterday.

The Year of Young People aims to inspire Scotland by celebrating the achievements of young people, and giving them support to share their views on social issues and creating new opportunities for them to excel.
