Blow for Man City & Liverpool: Zidane discusses Isco's Real Madrid future

Blow for Man City & Liverpool: Zidane discusses Isco's Real Madrid future

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has made a decision to sell Isco in the summer after the Spanish playmaker's underwhelming performances this season, reports AS.

News outlet AS claims big names such as Spain worldwide Isco, 25, will be axed in order to usher in a new era of Galaticos. However, considering Zidane may need to retain the Champions League to remain as manager next year, he's unlikely to have much say on the player's future.

"They started to throw out the idea that they wanted to get rid of Isco", wrote Balague in his weekly Q & A session on Sky Sports' website.

It has been suggested that will include offloading the likes of midfielder Isco to make way for fresh talent such as Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard, Liverpool's Mo Salah and Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

Questioned whether Barcelona tried to sign him, Isco confirmed then: "It is true that maybe there was some contact but I was clear". I trust in my team and I will do it until the end. While it is surprising to hear that, especially after the news comes less than a year after Zidane proclaimed that Isco is a key star in the Real Madrid squad, football is a fickle mistress and this shows it. If there was anyone good enough to replace the Brazilian for Liverpool, it would be Isco. It's a lie [that we want to sell to sell him].

Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs ready to battle-it-out over the signing of Isco as Real Madrid prepare to cash-in on the attacking midfielder this summer, according to reports in Spain via the Express.

'We believe we can do great things and that's all I care about'. "There are a lot of points to play for, but we dropped two in a game we were controlling", he said of last week's game, when Levante twice came from behind to draw. There are many games and I will count on everyone. There are many games. "I am happy you asked me so I can answer this".

"These questions are common".
