Palestinian killed in clashes during Israeli raid

Israeli soldiers killed, on Tuesday at night, a young Palestinian man, and injured 110, including 32 who were shot with live ammunition, in Nablus city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

One Palestinian was killed and 47 others were injured in ensuing clashes with IDF soldiers as they left the area, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

Khaled Walid Tayeh, 22, from Iraq al-Tayeh near Nablus, succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday after being shot in the chest, the staff at al-Najah Hospital told Palestinian news agency Wafa.

A Palestinian teenager was shot dead by an Israeli security guard on Wednesday following an alleged stabbing attack in an illegal settlement north of Hebron.

The Karmei Tzur attack was the fourth deadly incident in the West Bank since Israeli rabbi Itamar Ben Gal was stabbed to death on Monday near the settlement of Ariel.

Last month the PLO's Central Council voted to suspend recognition of Israel following President Donald Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

There was no indication of a direct link between the two attacks, with violence common in the West Bank between Palestinians and Israeli settlers or security forces.

Shortly after the missile was sacked, forces then began demolishing the building with a bulldozer, reported Palestinian media. On Tuesday a Palestinian demonstrator was killed in Nablus during a manhunt for Ahmed Nassr Jarrar, the leader of a cell linked to Hamas thought to be responsible for killing a rabbi in January.

Ynet added that Israeli forces also arrested several Palestinians who have been accused of helping Jarrar hide.

Israeli soldiers were seen after five hours transferring the body to an anonymous place and leaving behind them destroyed chambers, spent bullet casings, cloths of Jarrar, food and a the Holy Quran that was gifted to Jarrar by his father who was also killed by Israel in 2002 in Jenin.

Israel faced sharp criticism from the administration of former USA president Barack Obama over settlement construction, but that has not been the case with Trump's White House.
