Father Of Larry Nassar Victims Tries To Attack Disgraced Doctor In Court

Father Of Larry Nassar Victims Tries To Attack Disgraced Doctor In Court

Two of the man's daughters had just addressed the court, saying they and another sister had been sexually abused by Nassar under the guise of medical treatment.

Former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar with his defense attorney Matt Newberg (L) during the sentencing phase in Eaton, County Circuit Court on January 31, 2018 in Charlotte, Michigan. As some in the courtroom laughed, the judge warned Margraves about his language. However, Grewal told Mencarini that the country sheriff's office is still conducting a criminal investigation that could be referred to prosecutors, though he hopes it doesn't come to that. That was incorrect and we apologize for the error.

Two of Margraves' daughters - Lauren and Madison Rae - delivered statements Friday.

Nassar will begin serving the sentences in Ingham and Eaton counties after he serves the federal sentence. When their statements concluded, their dad was given permission to say something to Nassar.

He also asked the judge to give him five minutes locked in a room with Nassar.

Randall Margraves returned to Judge Janice Cunningham's courtroom hours after the incident after spending time in a holding cell.

Before he could get to the former doctor, he was subdued by court officers and taken away in handcuffs.

This week, the police department in Meridian, Michigan, apologised publicly to one victim for declining to press charges against Nassar in 2004 when she reported that he abused her. Who would put their selves through this if it didn't happen? She said yes, and Margraves then called Nassar a "son of a b***h".

He said he "lost control" during the hearing.

The judge accepted his apology and said he can be released.

Approximately 30 women were heard from in written and in-person accounts Wednesday, during the first day of Nassar's final sentencing. The gymnastics doctor has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by at least 65 victims, who claim he molested them at the Twistars Gymnastics Club in MI. The hearing will extend into next week.
