Tommy Wiseau And Greg Sestero Have Now Somewhat Achieved Their Hollywood Dream

Tommy Wiseau And Greg Sestero Have Now Somewhat Achieved Their Hollywood Dream

Other Golden Globes viewers took to Twitter to criticize Franco for his alleged treatment of women in the past, including two women who made specific accusations against the actor.

After Franco's Golden Globes win, Franco called Wiseau up on stage with him, and even read off a text message that Wiseau sent years ago about being caught in traffic during a previous Golden Globes, to which he hadn't been invited.

"First person I have to thank is the man himself, Tommy Wiseau, come on up here Tommy!" Wiseau directed and starred in the 2003 film.

On a night that will be remembered mostly for its somber attire, sober attitude and that rousing speech from Oprah Winfrey, there was at least one glimmer of the classic, madcap unpredictability of the Golden Globes. To hear his and Sestro's full thoughts about The Disaster Artist, check out our video above. I won't wait for Hollywood, I'll make my own movie. "After my profile of Franco was published, some people reached out to tell me about encounters with him".

Wiseau was there in the audience, and got to go on stage for Franco's win.

Still, Franco did not let him speak. Franco also had some sweet shoutouts for the other nominees and his BFF Seth Rogen.

Fast forward to 2018, and both men are a part of the Golden Globes itself.

Like many of his A-list peers, The Disaster Artist attended the Hollywood award show donning a Time's Up pin in order vocalize his support for the revolutionary movement. Dave Franco told The Times, "trust me it was a whole thing" about trying to get everyone together.

Franco brought Wiseau onstage along with his brother Dave Franco, who co-stars in the film. No one will ask him about the underage girls. I know they don't want me - guy with accent, long hair", Franco said in his signature Wiseau accent. "So I show them.
