Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, Xperia L Designs and Specifications Leaked

Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, Xperia L Designs and Specifications Leaked

While many fans are probably waiting for Sony's 2018 high-end phones (which should include an Xperia XZ2), we're now going to talk about the mid-range Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra, and the lower-end Xperia L2. Sony has a history of announcing Xperia smartphones both at CES as well as MWC, so there is a good chance that the trio will indeed show up in Las Vegas.

Sony's mid-range XA line is now on its third-generation with the XA2 and XA2 Ultra (via VentureBeat). To start with the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra, both the smartphones will share a similar design language.

The Xperia XA2 will sport a newer 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, while the Xperia XA2 Ultra is expected to borrow the 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display from its predecessor. Sony is due to introduce new phones this quarter and we're assuming the Xperia XA, XA2 Ultra, and the L2 will be the brand's newest products. The CAD renders were supposedly from Tiger Mobiles, where a generous 360-degree angle view of both phones was also revealed, as well as the front and back of both phones. On the hardware front, the new Xperia XA2 may be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card. First, you can see the fingerprint scanner (Sony smartphones it's usually built into the power button on the side). On the rear will sit a 21 MP snapper capable of 4K video capture, and an 8 MP cam will take care of selfies. However, in a rather odd turn of events, the Xperia XA2 Ultra may sport a dual-front camera design, something we had reported on earlier, and confirmed by the renders. The smaller Xperia XA2 shares the same resolution with a 5.2-inch screen.

As for the entry-level Xperia L2, details are scarce at this point. The phone might run on an older Android Nougat.
