Time magazine disputes Trump's

This time, however, Trump decided that he was contacted about being TIME's Person of the Year for a second year in a row, and he said he "would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot", without official confirmation.

The US President took to twitter to say that the magazine had told him the would "probably" be selected as Person of the Year. He says he told the magazine that "probably" isn't good enough, and he would pass on the opportunity.

'The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. "TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6", TIME tweeted.

Time did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Quoting Trump's tweet Stengel, Stengel asserted,"They just wanted a photo shoot".

Trump claimed on Twitter on Friday that he had taken himself out of consideration after he refused to meet the magazine's "requirements" for an interview and photo shoot without being guaranteed the title.

Shortly after his election last year, Mr Trump complained to a crowd of supporters that the magazine should return to calling it's award "Man of the Year".
