Roy Moore thanks Trump in new fundraising appeal

Roy Moore thanks Trump in new fundraising appeal

Last week, when Trump was asked about the torrent of accusations of sexual impropriety facing Moore, he said flatly: "Roy Moore denies it".

Raddatz pressed Scott on whether President Donald Trump, who has defended Moore and attacked his Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, is on the "side of wrong".

"The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border, Bad for our Military and our great Vets, Bad for our 2nd Amendment, AND WANTS TO RAISES TAXES TO THE SKY", Trump tweeted on Sunday morning.

"I endorsed Luther Strange in the Alabama Primary", the president tweeted.

Moore has been accused by several women of pursuing relationships with them when they were teenagers and he was a grown man. Now the important thing is that Alabama "can't let Schumer/Pelosi win this race".

A retired Gasdsen, Ala. law enforcement officer says she and her fellow officers were told to keep Republican Senate Candidate Roy Moore away from the high school cheerleading team because it was known that Moore preferred young girls.

In subsequent days, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to engage with further questions about Moore, saying Alabama voters should choose their next senator, and Trump did not answer shouted questions about the race. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the majority leader, has said.

As the allegations against Moore stacked up, Ivanka Trump said there was a "special place in hell for people who prey on children", and that she saw no reason to doubt the victims' accounts.

The Times cites three staff members confirmed hearing the comments, with Trump asking "Do you believe this?" to several aides in the Oval Office.

Jones has started using Ivanka's remarks as part of his campaign.

"The list is growing", the narrator in the ad said.

John Rogers has resigned as communications director from Roy Moore's Senate campaign, according to a source familiar with the matter. "Now, they are women, witnesses to us all of his disturbing conduct". It closed by naming two more of his accusers. In fact, he tweeted 17 times to try and help odd defeat Roy Moore, even traveling to Alabama to campaign for him. Moore has denied the allegations.

Trump's position stands in stark contrast to that of the Republican establishment, including the Senate leadership, many of whom have called on Moore to drop out of the race.
