Android 8.0 Oreo update arrives to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

Android 8.0 Oreo update arrives to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

It's quite clear that the company was really close to completing the OxygenOS 5.0 when they launched the OnePlus 5T, so maybe it would have been a nicer move to launch it with the latest version of software on board.

The company during the OnePlus 5T keynote had promised that the new smartphone will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo open beta by end of December.

The OxygenOS 5.0 comes embedded with features from the Android O (Oreo 8.0). Unfortunately, OnePlus even confirms that this Android Oreo 8.0 based update will be the last software update for the 2016 flagship phones (OnePlus 3 series) from the company. Now the company reportedly discontinued the manufacturing of its OnePlus 5 in order to dominate the newly launched OnePlus 5T.

The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T might be getting all the limelight right now as the latest flagship models, but they don't yet have Android Oreo and now the previous generation - the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T - have pipped them to the post. So you need not to worry about the update as you would see the push notification on the display.

Long story short, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are already getting Android 8.0 Oreo, while the newer OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T are stuck with Android Nougat until 2018.

OnePlus has announced that its long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update for its OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones has finally started to roll out to users. But the update will be available to a limited number of users. It is accompanied by the Auto-fill, smart text selection feature.

Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus. All the popular brands of the world have jumped leaps by introducing fully bezel less design and also removing the fingerprint sensor so as to make Face ID the common way to unlock a smartphone.
