'I would NEVER' call Rocket Man Kim Jong Un 'short and fat'

'I would NEVER' call Rocket Man Kim Jong Un 'short and fat'

Aggressive rhetoric from North Korea is nothing new, and on Saturday the secretive nation described Trump as a "destroyer" who "begged for nuclear war" as the President continued his tour of Asia. Trump, 71, sarcastically responded that he hopes one day to be friends with Kim, who oversees a developing nuclear weapons and ballistic missile arsenal.

It comes on the same day Rodong Sinmun, the regime-run newspaper, warned the North would "surely win in the showdown" with the US and South Korea.

Speaking later in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, Trump said "it would be very, very nice" if he and Kim became friends.

So, as the president finishes the last leg of his Asia trip, he chose to take to Twitter and bash North Korean Kim Jong-un "short and fat". What to do with all of these missile tests?

North Korea tested its first missile just 22 days after Trump was inaugurated on January 20.

North Korean officials described Trump's trip as "nothing but a business trip by a warmonger to enrich the monopolies of the USA defense industry".

President Trump and the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong un, have traded insults publicly, with the latest juvenile interaction suggesting that a mutually acceptable solution to North Korea's nuclear weapons programme is still some way off.

"I really believe that it makes sense for North Korea to come to the table and to make a deal", Trump said in a press conference with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

"Strange things happen in life".

The US think-tank said: "Although Pyongyang is outspent by its neighbours in dollar-to-dollar comparisons and defence experts say it operates with raging equipment and technology, the regime's forward-deployed military position and missiles aimed at Seoul ensure that Pyongyang's conventional capabilities remain a constant threat to its southern neighbour".

Also on the trip, Mr Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin several times on the margins of a summit in Vietnam.

"The 28,500 US Armed Forces personnel in South Korea are vastly outnumbered by North Korean forces, as well as ROK (South Korean) forces that will conduct the overwhelming majority of the fighting", he wrote.

We'll see what happens now.

Jouas also stressed that unlike previous conflicts, the U.S. would not be able build up its forces prior to engagement with the North Koreans, stating that it "will take days to months to arrive in theater [of war]".
