#WomanBoycottTwitter as Rose McGowan's account gets suspended

#WomanBoycottTwitter as Rose McGowan's account gets suspended

Although she refused to personally address the alleged settlement, the 44-year-old personality has been using her influence to encourage women to speak up and share their stories.

It's unclear what "Fox News Megyn Kelly" would have had to say on the subject, but I think we can all get behind her when she finished her thoughts with a resounding, "Twitter, do better!"

Affleck was sued for sexual misconduct in 2010 by two female colleagues who worked with him on mockumentary I'm Still Here.

A spokeswoman for the disgraced Pulp Fiction director stated, "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein". He said it hadn't been proven.

Last week, The New York Times reported Weinstein had been paying off women who accused him of sexual harassment for decades.

McGowan also wrote that "Amazon won a dirty Oscar". She also did not give details on the script she had sold to Amazon.

However, despite the settlement, McGowan has been very active on social media since the news broke.

Despite Twitter restoring her account, McGowan compared her situation with that of USA president Donald Trump who apparently can threaten the entire planet with nuclear war without being blocked.

In other tweets McGowan claimed she had "begged" Amazon studios to take action but they had neglected to act. A Twitter representative told People magazine McGowan's account was suspended because one of her posts included a private phone number. "We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future".

The company's official account also tweeted: "We stand with the fearless women and men who use Twitter to share their stories, and will work hard every day to improve our processes to protect those voices".
