Commuters head back to work; 2 men in custody following London attack

The rush-hour bombing on Friday at the Parsons Green station and a subsequent stampede left 30 people injured, British officials said.

British police say they detained a 21-year-old man in the city's south end Saturday night on suspicion of a terror offense.

Providing detectives make evidential progress, both suspects could be held for up to a fortnight before they have to be charged or released.

Britain's terror threat level remains at "critical" - the highest level - meaning that authorities believe another attack is imminent.

A search was underway on Sunday in Stanwell, a few miles west of Hounslow, in connection with the 21-year-old, police said.

One of the two suspects arrested following Friday's terror attack on London's subway network has been identified as Yahyah Farroukh, who was held from a house in Hounslow on Saturday.

The Jones couple were previously honored by Queen Elizabeth II for serving as foster parents for hundreds of children, including refugees from the Middle East. Images posted on social media following the attack appeared to show wires protruding from a flaming bucket contained in a Lidl bag on the floor of the train carriage. Ms Rudd said the police were trying to find out how the teenager, the first to be arrested, was "radicalised".

Critics said Trump seized upon an attempt by Khan to calm the public about a stepped-up police deployment, using an out-of-context quote to imply that the mayor had said the attack - rather than the visible armed police presence in its aftermath - was no cause for alarm.

This as authorities search a foster home with ties to the suspects.

Most of the injured in Friday's explosion aboard a District Line train suffered flash burns while some were injured in the panicked rush to leave the Parsons Green station where the blast occurred.

Following the attack, Amaq, the news agency of the Islamic State militant group, claimed responsibility for the bombing.

In the deadliest attack, a suicide bomber struck a packed concert hall in Manchester in northern England, killing 22 people.
