Xiaomi wants to take on Apple's MacBook Pro

Additionally, it packs with Nvidia's new Geforce MX 150 chip.This chip is by far the most powerful graphical integrated chip by Intel which Xiaomi's Notebook is offering.

The base variant of the Mi Notebook Pro has been priced at 5699 yuan (Rs.55,800 approx.), while the top end version with the Core i7 processor and 16GB RAM is priced at 6999 yuan (Rs.68,600 approx.). The Xiaomi Notebook Pro comes out in three variants.

Trackpad also features a fingerprint scanner, thus allowing authentication for Windows Hello. Like Apple's own design aesthetic, the upcoming laptop features a thin industrial bezel and an overall sleek form factor.

Well, the specifications on the new Notebook Pro looks good enough, however we have to get our hands-on to this device to know the actual performance of it. Stay tuned with us for more updates on this laptop. In fact, a durability test during the launch showcased the Mi Notebook Pro being driven over by a scooter and working even after that.

The Mi Notebook Pro is a good-looking device with magnesium alloy chassis. It claims to have 19 percent larger keyboard area than MacBook Pro. The screen is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 and seems rather durable, in addition to being able to display around 72 percent of the NTSC color gamut. The laptop weighs around 1.95 kg - and there's only one colour option available - dark gray. The speakers sport Harman Infinity tag.

The battery promises 60Wh of power, along with support for 1C quick charge.

The RAM that's on offer here is of the 2400MHz DDR4 variety, with the laptop also boasting a PCIe SSD with up to 256GB of storage space. The new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with an Intel core i7 processor and the laptop comes with up to 16GB of RAM. The device will, like its predecessor, be available only in China and will start going on Sale on September 15. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is priced at 5,599 RMB in China which is approximately $850 while the top end variant is priced at RMB 6,999, approximately $1100 which is a massive reduction when compared to the newly launched MacBook Pro which costs $1,799.
