Forecast: Sunny And Mild All Weekend in NY

Look for sunny skies this weekend with highs only reaching the low 70s along with a light breeze. Mid and high clouds will be on the increase late in the day Monday into Tuesday as a small piece of what's left from Hurricane Irma breaks off and slides up the East Coast.

Monday: Sunny. High: Upper 70s. Rain will be most likely Tuesday and Wednesday. Florida will be greatly impacted, so if you have friends or relatives in Florida, make sure they are prepared. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 70s.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. If this forecast pans out, Friday would be a great day for a late-summer beach visit. Any morning fog will lift as the morning progresses, with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures expected.

Wed: High: 89 Low: 62 Sunny. Temperatures will fall into the low 60s before midnight and eventually fall into the upper 40s and low 50s again Sunday morning. The remnant circulation from Irma continues to look like it will stay well southwest of our area moving into the Tennessee Valley by Wednesday. A clockwise flow of air around the high will keep a northerly wind flow in place. "However, Irma is SO LARGE, that life-threatening storm surge (10-15′ possible), damaging hurricane-force winds (up to about 130 mph), blinding rain, risky flooding (up to 25" - nothing like Harvey, but still very serious), and even tornadoes will all be possible throughout the ENTIRE state of Florida today through tomorrow, making this a very scary weekend for all Floridians. Irma will bring a huge storm surge across the keys, barrier islands, and other low lying areas in addition to the strong and damaging winds.

Jose is still a category 4 hurricane and is moving toward the NW near 16 miles per hour.

However, we can say Irma will not have a direct impact on our weather, maybe just some rain from the remnants toward the second half of next week.
