Jurgen Klopp Issues Hilarious Response When Questioned About Ongoing Naby Keita Pursuit

Jurgen Klopp Issues Hilarious Response When Questioned About Ongoing Naby Keita Pursuit

RB Leipzig have slammed the door on selling Keita to Liverpool this summer, despite the Reds being willing to pay big money for the Guinea midfielder and claims the player himself is keen to move to Anfield.

They returned with an offer that, with add-ons, was worth more than £66m - a fee that would have been nearly double what Liverpool spent to bring Mohamed Salah from Roma last month.

The 22-year-old midfielder was the interest of two bids from Jurgen Klopp's side, the second in the region of £66 million, though the Premier League club refused to up their most recent proposal due to the German club's unwillingness to sell "at any price".

The Guinea worldwide has been regularly linked with a move to the Anfield outfit over the past few months as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his options ahead of the new season. It's 100 per cent sure that he will be with RB Leipzig in the Champions League. "To play Champions League for Naby Keita is a great thing".

"Our next offer for Keita is €300m!" he jested whilst enjoying a conversation with Sky Deutschland.

"The chances of Naby leaving are nil", Hasenhuttl said after Leipzig's 1-0 Emirates Cup defeat to Sevilla.

RB Leipzig head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl has insisted that Naby Keita will "100%" be at the club next season following numerous attempts from Liverpool to sign him. At the beginning of the transfer period we said we would start with the same team and of the players we had past year no one will go.

'Everyone can see how important Naby Keita is with our game.

"They are all very young players, and I think for them it's very important to play the first year in the Champions League with a team where they know the automatism, where they know how they have to play. Then we'll have a look", he said. "I think he is more focused than past year".
