We will 'destroy' MS-13 gang

We will 'destroy' MS-13 gang

Attorney General Jeff Sessions also visited Suffolk County recently to discuss the same gang, which began in Los Angeles and is made up mostly of El Salvadorians, as well as people from other South American countries. And they enjoy watching that much more.

On Friday President Trump deviated from some of the issues surrounding the White House this week to declare war on the Gang.

A day after suffering a major political defeat on his bid to overturn the Affordable Care Act, when the Senate voted down a repeal measure, the president seemed buoyed during his return to Long Island, where he spent part of his youth.

The visit will be to the Brentwood campus of Suffolk County Community College, a neighborhood where MS-13 is known to frequent, committing ruthless killings.

Mr. Trump's visit will highlight the nation's gang crisis that is evident in Long Island, where the MS-13 gang from Central America has been implicated in almost 20 killings over the past 18 months. Many gang members, however, are US citizens.

The Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13 gang, has been operating in and around the US for more than two decades.

"As we commit to repairing and healing our communities, we know that Trump's divisiveness and xenophobia will not make us safer, nor will it help us achieve the structural changes that long-neglected communities like Brentwood and Central Islip need", said the groups in the Unity Statement.

"They don't like shooting people because it's too quick".

The spate of violence in Central Islip and Brentwood Communities grabbed the nation's attention in April when four young men were discovered slaughtered in a park. Trump's address is meant to highlight a rise in violence by the gang, as the White House renews an effort to encourage additional funding from the U.S. Congress for increased border security.

"Today we are all LGBT", said David Kilmnick, chief executive officer of the LGBT Network. The president urged Congress to find money to pay for 10,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers "so that we can eliminate MS-13".

"If we send the message that if you get into the country, you get by the Border Patrol, and don't get arrested by local law enforcement for another crime, and no one is looking for you - that is a magnet; that is a pull factor", Homan said.
