Area residents will participate in DC People's Climate Movement

Area residents will participate in DC People's Climate Movement

If you care about the poor and impoverished, you care about the climate crisis. Rather helping solve the problem, the march will help ensure that the issue remains politically divisive and intractable. "We did. I believe that it is important that we discuss our responsibility".

There will also be local marches in many cities in MI, for those who want to show support for climate change action, but can't make the D.C. event. Concerned citizens around the country have been fighting for climate action for decades. In some ways, we in the environmental community have been most effective when faced with the longest odds.

The People's Climate March will take place on Saturday along Pennsylvania Avenue, ending at the White House in order to "drown out all of the climate-denying nonsense that has been coming out of this administration", the newspaper explained. Dozens of "sister" marches are planned for other North America locales, from Anapolish Royal, Nova Scotia, to Dutch Harbor in Alaska's Aleutian Islands.

Following the "March on Science", The Peoples Climate Movement is April 29 with a stated goal to "stand up for our communities and climate".

States, cities, towns, and businesses across the country are already taking action by committing to 100-percent renewable electricity and will continue driving progress forward over the next four years.

The Peoples Climate March will alienate tens of millions of Americans who accept that man-made climate change poses significant risks but do not agree that the only solution is to try to transform the global economy into a post-capitalist utopia. These include "Protectors of Justice", including indigenous people and those on the front lines of climate change; "Creators of Sanctuary", including women, immigrants and the LGBTQ community; "Guardians of the Future", namely students, children and their parents; and "Defenders of Truth", which include scientists, educators and the health community.

Trump's "America First" energy policy had pledged to boost the USA oil and gas drilling and coal mining industries. Indeed, solar power is likely to cost less on average than coal globally by 2025. The seas may be rising, but so are we.

Now more than ever, it will take everyone to change everything.

The People's Climate March will take over the nation's capital Saturday as thousands of demonstrators are expected to gather to protest the Trump administration's position on environmental policies, as President Trump has reversed several Obama-era measures aimed at protecting the environment.

On the heels of the March for Science, hundreds of Delawareans will attend the People's Climate March this weekend in Washington D.C.to show their support for action against climate change.
