All eyes on Philly for NFL Draft

The Jets at No. 6 have stated their desire to move down in the draft and acquire more draft picks and teams in the Top 10 will certainly be faced with offers as teams lower down the draft board realize they'll have to move up to snag a player they like. They should be busy Thursday and Friday with a total of five picks in the first three rounds.

One of the best parts of the growing cable trend is how easily it now is to watch sporting events, like the NFL Draft. The only major difference late in the draft is the signing bonus, ranging from $400,000-600,000 in the fourth round to slightly more than $60,000 in the seventh round.

The Jets' starting safeties last season were Calvin Pryor, a first-rounder in 2014 who has been a bit of a disappointment, and veteran Marcus Gilchrist, who is coming off a serious knee injury.

General manager John Lynch traded down one spot with Chicago to get extra picks in the second and third round this year and a third-rounder next year.

Finally, everything we have been hearing indicates the Falcons are planning to pick a pass rusher in the first round to complement Vic Beasley. Then Kansas City made an even more surprising jump from 27 to 10 via a trade with the Bills to take Mahomes.

Let's take a look at recent history. The Bears took quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the pick. It wasn't awesome, but it's an above average pick.

Though the first round did feature nine swapped first-round picks, including the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers in the top three - which ensured all three analysts botched both picks - once again we were reminded how impossible it is to predict the National Football League draft. Barnett does have avenues to earn playing time in 2017 and said he wants to accomplish that, but he also understands he'll need to prove himself.

A former three-time Georgia state heavyweight wrestling champion, Tomlinson has battled through both multiple injuries (ACL) and the loss of both parents before even graduating high school.

No more mock drafts, no more combines and no more freakish questions for prospects to figure out how to answer as the NFL Draft is ready to kick off from Philadelphia tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

The Cleveland Browns have the number 1 pick in the first round.

The 2018 NFL Draft should only continue the first round rivalry between the Trojans and Buckeyes with Sam Darnold standing as a potential No. 1 overall pick while Ohio State defensive ends Sam Hubbard and Tyquan Lewis are projected as a first round talents.

But they could not have seen all that coming in a wild first round.

Reuben Foster, linebacker, Alabama to San Francisco at No. 31.

It left a ton of solid players on the board when the Birds got on the clock, although the Cardinals selected Temple product Haason Reddick with the 13th pick.

The biggest storyline around these parts is where Corey Davis, he of incredible Western Michigan Broncos fame and success, will end up.
