Gboard can now translate as you type

Gboard can now translate as you type

The best advantage when using a keyboard for long amounts of time is that it is able to predict whatever word you are about to type.

With the update, when you start typing with Gboard inside messaging apps, you will see GIF image searches in the suggestion box. But for those of you not inclined towards emoji and GIF based conversations, there are other improvements to G Board with this latest update. Your output will automatically be sent in the new language right into your chat app, or anywhere else you want to call up a keyboard. The update includes a new instant translation feature that will translate any type of text one types into another language in real time, GIFs, emoji suggestions, and a handful more. The company also says that it be offering new themes in the future. These GIFs can also be shared across other apps, including Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Hangouts, and Allo, which makes Gboard something of a stand-in for other popular GIF search apps, like Giphy.

Another interesting language-related addition is search support for languages that are read from right to left, such as Farsi, Hebrew and Arabic. It's now easier to switch from voice texting to typing on the keyboard.

It seems like Google is trying to make its mobile platform more convenient to use as the search giant is reportedly working on some assistive features that might make their way to the next version of Android - codenamed Android O. If the newly revealed information is to be believed, Google is working towards adding features that would make use of artificial intelligence to make life easier for Android users. Well, to actually experience this, you will have to tap on the Google icon and then tap on Translate button. There's no word yet on a definite release schedule for iOS.

"Searching and sending stuff on your phone shouldn't be that hard". If that wasn't enough, they also streamlined switching from text to talk, according to The Verge, so you never, ever, ever feel the need to type while driving.
