Andrew Luck: Andrew Luck looking at six-month timetable

According to a statement released by owner Jim Irsay on Thursday morning, Indianapolis Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck has undergone shoulder surgery.

Irsay posted the update on his franchise quarterback on Twitter and says that Luck's shoulder has bothered him for the past two years and that he will be ready for the upcoming season.

Specifically, the Colts allowed the 5th most sacks with 44 total sacks and the 2nd most QB hits at 128 total QB Hits this past season, while Luck remained one of the most pressured passers in the NFL.

Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks this season, Luck ranked 15th in Passing Net Expected Points per dropback.

In 2015, the Colts were investigated by the National Football League over their injury reports. Indianapolis missed the playoffs for the second straight year after finishing 8-8.




"Yeah (I'm in good shape)", he said, "good enough after however many games we played".

Luck made frequent appearances on the injury report this season for a shoulder injury but only missed playing time after suffering a concussion. 6 months for a full return.

Luck set career highs in completion percentage (63.5) and yards per attempt (7.8) while throwing for 4,240 yards with 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

The Colts will begin offseason workouts in April and training camp in late July or early August.

He has completed 1,570 of 2,651 passes for 19,078 yards and 132 touchdowns, and has run 286 times for 1,442 yards and 14 touchdowns.
