Samsung Galaxy S8 could be unveiled at MWC 2017

Samsung Galaxy S8 could be unveiled at MWC 2017

After the Note 7 debacle of 2016, the South Korean tech giant seems prepared to pull out all stops in order to ensure that its next flagship device would be its best one yet, and if recent rumors and leaks are to be believed, this appears to be the case.

How a Galaxy S8 image can be created from an existing Galaxy model. However, the tablet is expected to have flagship-level specifications by consumers who have followed the Galaxy Tab S line. As rumoured, it has slimmer bezels, a dual-curved-edge screen and no home button.

What are your thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and its shipment targets?

We'll know soon enough whether the Note 7 saga has delayed or brought forward the Galaxy S8 release. Since the key differences will now be the size, battery capacity and potentially the camera, we think Samsung might choose to go down the Apple route and call what would be the Galaxy S8 edge the Galaxy S8 Plus. The fact it announced its Galaxy A series at CES 2017 ahead of MWC may support this theory, or it may simply mean Samsung wants to give all its attention to the Galaxy S8.

Samsung Galaxy S8 rumors continue to trickle in, and nearly every new report has something different to state about a potential launch date.

Could this be our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Ultimately therefore the irony is what you are looking at may very well be just how the new Galaxy S8 will look.

Over the last few months, rumors emerged that Samsung would be releasing another flagship-grade smartphone besides the Galaxy S8, with numerous fans speculating that the second flagship would be the Note 8. The Galaxy S7 edge, meanwhile, has gone down from its original £639 RRP to around £517 SIM-free (also at Amazon UK). It was later said that Samsung would unveil the device at a special event in NY instead come April 2017. This will help in enabling flexible bending of the device. No exact number was given, but Samsung previously shipped 45 million units of the S5 and the S6 each, and 48 million units of the S7.

As with the previous Samsung Galaxy X rumors, you will want to take news of the Samsung Galaxy X1 with a dose of salt.
