MK Dons approach Hearts to speak to boss Robbie Neilson

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club to join MK Dons.

Rotherham United are now on the hunt for their sixth manager since the start of the 2015/16 season following Monday's shock departure of Kenny Jackett. I welcome challenges, and I remain positive that we will find someone who can take this club forward.

The Jambos would jump from fourth to second in the Premiership if they beat Rangers at Tynecastle tomorrow - but it could be Neilson's last game in charge.

Chairman Tony Stewart said some of the individuals who had expressed an interest had thrown their hat in the ring before but expects fresh names to crop up.

"Paul Douglas has lots and lots applications to go through and there's not one that stands out".

"We will be spoiled for choice and we will take our time".

"It doesn't (impact), it is about your relationship with the players and I am sure Robbie has a very strong relationship". I am old-fashioned in that way.

Looking for his third Manager of the season The Mirror says that Mr Srewart would like to add the Heart of Midlothian boss to his short list.

His club are 11 points adrift of safety in the Championship, without a win in 14, and are nearly certainly going to be in League One next season.

It is understood Neilson was shown the club's facilities, including their 30,000-seater Stadium MK, while ironing out the finer points of his impending switch.

Former Millers player and fitness coach Warne has been assigned with preparing the side ahead of Saturday's trip to Burton, with the 43-year-old likely to be in temporary charge.
