'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8: Nina Dobrev Return Possible

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8: Nina Dobrev Return Possible

Speaking with TV Line during the San Diego Comic-Con last month, Plec called Dobrev out, reminding her of the promise she made regarding a comeback for the entire franchise's final episode.

"Delena" fans have always been requesting to see Elena and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) reunite but it seemed impossible over the past months. "We would love to have her - she was great and integral to the show's success".

"There are discussions", The CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed when discussing a possible appearance from Dobrev on the series' upcoming eight and final season at the network's Television Critics Association summer press tour presentation.

The Vampire Diaries will return for its final season on October 21, on The CW.

Meanwhile, there is also news that Ian Sommerhalder and the showrunner, Julie Plec, are also on poor terms as the actor manipulated Nina Dobrev's return to the show.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev play Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries. Now, rumors are spreading that Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed are preventing her comeback.

Dobrev will star in this year's "Crash Pad" along with Domhnall Gleeson and Christina Applegate, as well as in next year's "xXx: Return of Xander Cage". Confused with the producer's statement, Somerhalder then told her that he thought they already talked about not bringing the actress back.

Somerhalder's comment alludes to a secret meeting between him and Plec about Dobrev's return to The Vampire Diaries. "Hopefully she'll be back, but should it not work, out, Julie has planned a great finale that will satisfy fans".

Ian Somerhalder's may get away with his diva attitude for now.

However, to the actor's dismay, he does not decide who comes back and who doesn't for the finale of "The Vampire Diaries" series finale.

Millions of fans were devastated when it was confirmed that Nina Dobrev is no longer reuniting with Ian Somerhalder in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
