Preliminary NBA schedule has New York Knicks opening at Cleveland Cavaliers

Preliminary NBA schedule has New York Knicks opening at Cleveland Cavaliers

That drama is done now, and it's all about winning another title for Cleveland.

James is signing a three-year, $100 million dollar deal to stay with the Cavaliers to defend his NBA Title, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Once the summer comes to an end, Kyrie Irving likely comes home with an Olympic gold medal, LeBron James puts away his banana boat and J.R. Smith finally puts a shirt on, basketball will return to Cleveland Ohio.

Kevin Love went from zero to hero of the NBA Finals when he played great in Game 7 to seal the Cleveland Cavaliers first championship.

Carmelo Anthony has been rivals with James since well before they were selected in the 2003 NBA Draft.

James is coming off yet another hugely productive season in addition to his playoff success, as he averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game during the regular season. I love being here.

Instead, he's back in Cleveland - or wherever - working on helping the Cleveland Cavaliers repeat as world champions.

James declined his player option to become an unrestricted free agent for the third consecutive year, but there was little concern he would leave the Cavs. Nevertheless, there are some rumors linking Kevin Love to a potential trade deal and this time it is a three-way negotiations with the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings.

Following a league-wide trend of playing fewer preseason games, the Cavs will engage in just six this year. Oh, and he'll also talk about the Cavs NBA Finals Championship and their celebration.
